An early afternoon walk up Signal Hill in Lebanon, was relatively quiet due to the mid-summer conditions, but it did not seem to interfere with the noisy Wood Frogs in the vernal pools along the ridge trail. Note: Wood ticks were out in force already.
Red-shouldered Hawk - 1 gliding above upper meadow S-N , fortunately alerted me to it's flyby with a couple distinctive calls.
Eastern Bluebirds - pair @ hedgerow between lower fields, in close proximity of birdboxes.
Storrs Hill Lebanon
Eastern Bluebirds - 2 in different locations on hill.
Y B Sapsuckers - 2 in yard
Coopers Hawk - 1 at edge of yard. Has given near to nest call the last 3 mornings, but still have not located definite nest site.
Winter Wren - 1 singing
Tree Swallow - 1 flying overhead
Purple Finch - 4 @ feeder
Wild Turkey - 4 in yard, very vocal
