A noon check of Kilowatt today yielded a Red-throated Loon and 3
Northern Pintails within 75 meters of the point. The gate is now across
the entrance off Passumpsic Ave, so access is only by foot.

At Ledyard 20 minutes later, highlights were 10 Am. Black Ducks and 38
Hooded Mergansers. A half-mile north, across from Steve's Saab, was a
pair of Common Goldeneyes. Pompy Flats was thinly iced-over, but off
the rivermouth were a 2nd-year Bald Eagle and adult Ring-billed Gull.
