This is New Hampshire Audubon's Rare Bird Alert for Tuesday, November 22nd, 
2011.



A SNOWY OWL was seen in Hampton, and there was a report of a possible SNOWY 
OWL from the Manchester Airport, both on November 20th.



A SHORT-EARED OWL was seen on Martin Road in Fremont on November 22nd.



A ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK was seen in Hampton on November 17th, 2 NORTHERN 
HARRIERS were seen in Hampton Marsh on the 19th, and an OSPREY was seen in 
Hinsdale on November 19th.



A NORTHERN SHRIKE was seen in the Concord Community Gardens located off of 
Route 13 in Concord on November 17th and one was seen in Seabrook on the 
20th.



5 RED CROSSBILLS, and 8 PINE SISKINS were seen at Cathedral Ledge in North 
Conway on November 19th, and an estimated 120 SNOW BUNTINGS were seen at 
Sherman Farms in Center Conway on the 21st.



A male BARROW'S GOLDENEYE was seen off of Concord Point in Rye on November 
20th.



4 HARLEQUIN DUCKS, 10 GADWALL, a BRANT. a NORTHERN PINTAIL, 36 GREEN-WINGED 
TEAL, 2 GREATER SCAUP, 430 AMERICAN BLACK DUCKS were tallied migrating south 
along the coast on November 19th.



324 RED-THROATED LOONS were counted migrating south along the coast on 
November 19th, and 352 were tallied on the 20th.



9 RAZORBILLS were seen along the coast, and 3 BLACK GUILLEMOTS were seen off 
of Odiorne Point State Park in Rye, all on November 20th.



2 LESSER SCAUP, 2 RUDDY DUCKS, 3 PIED-BILLED GREBES, and 10 AMERICAN COOTS 
were seen on Eel Pond in Rye on November 19th.



A BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE was seen from Seabrook beach on November 19th.



5 RED-NECKED GREBES and a WHITE-WINGED SCOTER were reported from Spofford 
Lake in Chesterfield on November 22nd, and 3 HORNED GREBES were seen there 
on the 19th.

A RED-NECKED GREBE and 4 WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS were reported from Lake 
Winnisquam on November 19th.



10 PURPLE SANDPIPERS were seen along the coast on November 20th.



A RUDDY TURNSTONE was seen at Bicentennial Park in Hampton, and 2 GREATER 
YELLOWLEGS were seen on the coast, all on November 19th.



An AMERICAN BITTERN was seen in Hampton Marsh on November 20th.



An AMERICAN PIPIT was seen in Hancock on November 19th.



There were several reports of RUSTY BLACKBIRDS during the past week.



A flock of over 2,600 COMMON GRACKLES was seen in Pittsfield on November 
20th.
