Yesterday, driving south on I89 just prior to the new London exit there is an old Great blue heron nest in the swampy area. From a distance my husband noticed two crows one on each side of the nest hollering at each other.
Upon closer view I puzzled why one had his head in some snow only to realize one was an adult bald eagle who was arguing with the crow.
Very strange sight. Wouldn't you expect the crow to give deference to an adult eagle? The crow was standing his ground though.
