The following observation from Orford may be of interest to UV birders.
 From the NH birdlist.
Keep listening!

A Whip-poor-will woke me at 4:00 a.m. today, calling right outside our
bedroom window. It was so close I spooked it when I peeked through the
blinds! A first for my property list (# 105) and new to my Orford town list,
too.
