My first guess would be juncos since there are so many around right now. Is
it an even trill?  High? mid-range?  Fast , slow or medium speed?

Look for characteristic gray tops, white bottoms and white tail feathers on
either side of a gray tail. Then you likely have a Junco. (Dark-eyed Junco)
