Found 1 Female BeKingfisher at Pompy Flats.
1 Kestrel (Undet. Sex, bad light) (seen from the F&G access/ old RT 5)
2 GBHerons
Waterfowl: all on the ice lip just east of the RR bridge. I walk out on
the RR tracks, from the pullout south of the bridge over the Pompy.
20 mallards
16 Black Ducks..for me, they are the chocolate ducks w/ only 1 white bar on
the wing speculum
16 Wood Ducks.pairs.
2 Male Shovelers
4 male Ring-necked Ducks.
3 Ring-billed Gulls.
And the overly gorgeous liquid song of the Eastern Meadowlark. Nice looks.
On Stevens Rd, E. Thetford (think Rough-leg area). Birds were here last
year.
Past the house and gambrel barn, right by the triangle dirt intersection, on
the south side of the road. The songster was 100 yds beyond the big field
puddle.
Ah.seems like things are picking up ! (we earned it)
