A male Red-winged Blackbird, a first of the year for this location,  
was a highlight so far this morning (March 8) among a dozen bird  
species around the yard here in Norwich village. Also present were 2  
Carolina Wrens, one of which was singing, and 2 White-throated Sparrows.
