Join Art Mudge and George Clark this coming Saturday for this always
rewarding outing to Bedell Bridge State Historic Site in Haverhill, NH.
The park's varied habitats - riverine, ag lands and woods - provide
opportunities for seeing a wide variety of birds including late
migrants, resident breeders and a variety of waterfowl.

The walk is to last from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Carpooling will be
available from the park 'n ride at the Norwich end of Ledyard Bridge. Meet there at 6:30 a.m. Expect to return by 9:30.

Driving yourself? Take NH Rt. 10 to the park entrance
just north of the Haverhill Common. Turn onto the park access road and
follow it down to a parking area near the river's edge. The site also
can be reached from I-91. Take Exit 16 for Bradford/VT Rt. 25. At the
bottom of the ramp follow Rt. 25 east crossing the CT River into NH a
half mile beyond Farm-Way. Once into NH, continue on 25 east a quarter
mile. Look for River Rd. on your left. Turn onto River Rd. and follow it north to its junction with Rt. 10 just below the Haverhill Common. Turn left onto Rt. 10 and follow it to the park entrance.

The outing is free and open to the public. Children accompanied by an adult are welcome. The terrain is level but may be soggy following last
weekend's extensive rain. Questions? E-mail [log in to unmask] or
call 603-643-8236.
