My grandson and I were out last night looking at the moon when we
heard that faraway, familiar, honking of Canada geese headed south.
The last flock to leave some northern unfrozen lake, it seemed, with a
full night of flying ahead, before they can rest.
Have others heard geese flying south this late in the season?

Don McCabe
