There was an Eastern Meadowlark in the field by Lake Runnemeade this
morning. It was undisturbed by my approach -- I think I was the more
startled of the two of us -- as it walked along, foraging on the ground at
the eastern edge of the first plowed row in the field, wagging its tail.
