Here in South Strafford the juncos, jays and doves are enjoying our patio
smorgasbord- had a pair of cardinals a few days ago, 2 starlings today and
a few sparrows, gold finches and male downy, but none of the variety of
titmouse, chickadees and purple finches of the past. More curious is the
lack this year of grey and red squirrels and chipmunks. They have not been
around for weeks. Do they ever hibernate, although I see that Norma has
had them in Canaan.!??
