A beautifully turned out male appeared at the home feeders about 3:00 p.m. It's arrival was almost right on schedule Actually, it was a bit earlier this year than usual. Can the Baltimore oriole, ovenbird and hermit thrush be far behind? Last year those species and the rose-breasted made their first appearance the same day, May 11. Blake Allison
