We have had a banded male cardinal here for a longest time. He has eluded recapture, until today. We were able to confirm that he was banded in Sept 2007, making him 7 yrs old. Pretty good for a bright red bird! He was in nice shape and his band was still easily legible.

Today we also caught and banded:

White throated Sparrow
Chipping Sparrow
Song Sparrow
Yellow bellied sapsucker
House Wren
Blacke-capped Chickadee
