I tricked you... they were on Cape Cod, this am. Birded my favorite spot 2x
while visiting family near Hyannis for 38 hrs.

List from the ocean/barrier beach/ marsh site: (composite from 2 mornings,
no one bird was counted more than once)

Gr. Blue Heron 5

Gr. Egret 3

Snowy Egret 2

Green Heron 1

Whimbrel 2

Gr. Yellowlegs 2

S-B Dowitcher 8

Ruddy Turnstone 2

Piping Plovers: 3 adults, 7 chicks..chicks were ~ 8- 12 days old, my
guess.

Common tern 30+ seemed to be 2:1 adult to juv. Particularly good at
dive bombing me.

Willet 5

Semi-p. Plover 8

Semi-p. Sandpiper 1

Least Sandpiper 3

Spotted Sa. 2

No Saltmarsh Sparrow.

Migration may be starting ???!!
