On Monday evening March 5, New Hampshire Audubon Senior Biologist
Chris Martin, widely known as the “eagle man”, will present an
illustrated lecture on the national bird and his work over the last 30
years in helping to bring New Hampshire’s Bald Eagles back from zero
nesting pairs as recently as 1987 to 22 nesting pairs throughout the
state in 2010. He will be joined by NH Audubon President Mike
Bartlett to report on a new project with TransCanada Corporation to
continue the work of Chris and others in restoration of New
Hampshire’s eagle population. This presentation, free and open to the
public, will be at 7:00 PM in the Mayer Room of the Howe Library in
Hanover, NH, and has been arranged by the Mascoma Chapter of New
Hampshire Audubon.
