Interesting to read David Merker's description of great horned owl
nesting activity. Wedged in a rocky crevice facing south on the hill
behind our Norwich house, my wife Lisa found a turkey vulture egg.
The Audubon Guide confirmed who laid the egg, but it sat there for
several days, then suddenly was gone. Fox? Raccoon? Hatch and fly
away? We'll never know. Any similar discoveries out there?
