As George Clark reported, we had some great views of 2 mature Bald Eagles
perched and in flight yesterday (2/11/2012), at the Wilder Dam in
Hartford.  I got some (not so great ) photos of one eagle that was carrying
a stick and later dropped it-it was headed for the Vermont shore. We were
all rather hopeful this might be nesting behavior.

Also , here are a few pictures of the beautiful Redhead duck that was at
Lake Runnemede in Windsor.  While I was watching it (mostly dozing), a
muskrat swam out from under the brush/lodge. The duck seemed totally
unperturbed.
