This afternoon around 4:30pm I was in the Price Chopper/Walmart plaza
off of 12A in West Lebanon. The usual huge number of crows were circling
and thinking about roosting in the trees behind the plaza, and I stopped
to watch. One of them was very large, wasn't flapping as much, and had a
noticeable dihedral...a turkey vulture. I was so surprised I didn't
believe it at first, and I dug through all the accumulated winter junk
in the truck to find my binoculars. By the time I'd found them, he'd
drifted away somewhat and I could no longer see his head, but he
definitely had the two tone wings.

He didn't look too happy, considering how much flapping he was doing. I
have no idea how he was finding any viable thermals at all.
