It seems strange to get excited about goldfinch visits- they were so constant here all last winter and spring. But like most of you, my feeder has been quiet this fall. (Only have one up high-I suspect bears are sitll out...). A few chickadees, Hairy, Downy WP, Tufted Titmouse, White-breasted Nuthatch, and today 15 Goldfinches. Big assortment of colors/ages. Not sure they will stay, but it was a nice moment.
