Notice Number: NOT-OD-17-076 <https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-17-076.html> This revised  Notice replaces NOT-OD-17-027 to inform the research community that NIH is extending the effective date of  the NIH Policy on the Use of a Single Institutional Review Board for Multi-Site  Research to January 25, 2018.

NIH's Next Generation Researchers Initiative

Science Magazine:  NIH scales back plan to curb support for big labs after hearing concerns
Faced with a barrage of criticism, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) has scaled back a plan to cap its support for individual labs in order to free up funds for more scientists. The changes did not appease scientists who gave NIH a tongue-lashing this morning at a meeting of NIH's Council of Councils. NSF FastLane Outage
Due to the move of NSF's Data Center, NSF.gov, FastLane and Research.gov will be unavailable from Friday, June 30 at 8:00 PM until Tuesday, July 4 at 6:00 PM EDT. This move has been scheduled around a holiday weekend to minimize downtime and reduce the impact on the research community and NSF staff. During this outage period, proposals cannot be submitted in FastLane, and project reports and cash requests cannot be submitted in Research.gov. However, previously saved information and uploaded documents in FastLane and Research.gov, including in-process proposals and reports, will be accessible after the Data Center moves
