I sent a file with my efforts to get 'running heads' and this is his reply.

"Hi Brian,

I don't think he'll be able to accomplish what he wants. To differentiate header content one needs either:

1. Section breaks.	-or-
2. Automatic numbers.

Because there's no automatic number for "number of first/last paragraph on this page" he's going to have to use section breaks.

Despite this, I had tried some Section Breaks but got nowhere.

He had all the previous correspondence.
