The reverse order of digits is caused by (invisible) directional marks.
To confirm this, copy some paragraphs from the NWP file where digits are reversed to a new file and run this expression in the 'Find what' field of PowerFind Pro; leave the 'Replace with' field empty, and press the Replace All button:

[\x{200E}\x{200F}\x{202A}-\x{202E}]+

This should restore the correct order of the digits by removing the directional marks.
