Hi Sarah and Alicia,

Please see the email below from my PI with details regarding a gap year position.

"I'll be hiring a Lab Tech for the coming year, hopefully someone looking to start ASAP. Ideally this would be a 20 or 21 grad seeking a 1-2yr post bac position before med, MD/PhD or grad school.

The Hayden lab is seeking a motivated research assistant for a full-time position.  Methods of selectively delivering cargo to tumor cells is crucial for a variety of therapeutic and diagnostic approaches.  We have identified a novel means of achieving highly specific tumor cell targeting and are seeking a research assistant to perform cell culture based studies to help validate this approach in our lab.  Familiarity with basic molecular biology techniques, e.g.  PCR and Western blotting, is a plus.  However, both these and more advanced techniques (CRISPR, Next Generation Sequencing, immunomicroscopy, FACS) that will be used during this project can be learned in the lab.
