Hello 26s!

The Summer Health Professions Education Program (SHPEP) is a long-standing summer program to provide students from backgrounds underrepresented in medicine, or who've experienced socio-economic barriers, and/or demonstrated a strong interest in issues affecting underserved populations an opportunity to explore the world of medicine and health professions! See the flyer below for more information about SHPEP.

The Application is NOW OPEN. First year and sophomore students can apply. It takes place at approximately 10 different sites around the country.

Two important notes:

  1. If you choose to apply, this is a program which has rolling admissions so it is best to apply early, well before the final due date, while still taking the time to do your best effort writing a quality application.
  2. When you apply, remember to choose THREE program sites and select at least one site at a lesser-known school. As as you can imagine, the "big name" schools go fast. All locations are great!

May you have some peace and some delight in your weekend!
Warmly,
Sarah, Nicole, and Rae
