Emma, just checking: are you aware that FMP Advanced allows you to create a
runtime solution that means your clients don't need a copy of FileMaker?
(This works well as long as they don't have a shared database.)

The copy of FileMaker on your PC is for a different client....
I purchase a copy of Advanced licensed to me and use it for all of my work.
I have purchased software for clients, but the cost is built into the
project and it is only installed on the clients systems. Most of the time
I get the client purchase FileMaker and just advise on numbers of copies
required.
The cost of my copy is a business expense and can be deducted.
