IMPORTANT CHANGES:
Unfortunately due to this non-helpful warm weather and the general lack of snow and prevalence of ice, we have been forced to CANCEL Carni Classic, the campus sculpture contest, and the Human Dog Sled Race. Thank you for your interest and please refocus your lost outlet for winter passions into other Carnival events!! The polar bear swim WILL CONTINUE AS SCHEDULED, 10-12:30 on Friday morning.


THURSDAY'S EVENTS:
4-8 pm: GlobeMed Winter Carnival Flair Sale @ Collis. Benefitting Kachin Women’s Association.
5:30-7 pm: ‘15s and ‘65s Class Connections Event @ First-Year Residence Cluster Lounges. The Class of ‘65 will give a special gift to the Class of ‘15. Meet ‘65 alums! Hot cocoa and candy canes!
7 pm: Opening Ceremonies @ the Green. Kick off the weekend as President Kim welcomes students, alums, faculty, community members, and friends of Dartmouth. Get pumped for Carnival with the ski team’s traditional torch-lighting ceremony, an a cappella serenade by the Cords, the official unveiling of the snow sculpture, and FIREWORKS!
7-9 pm: Delta Desserts @ Tri-Delt
7:45 pm: Carnival Tea @ Top of the Hop. Join us for tea, cookies, and a screening of the classic 1939 film, Winter Carnival!
9-11 pm: Winter Carnival Salsa Party @ Fuel
10 pm - 2 am: The Red and Black Affair @ Cutter-Shabazz. A semi-formal, Valentine’s Day event, with performances, desserts, and dancing by La Alianza Latina, the Afro-American Society, and GSX.

FRIDAY'S EVENTS:
All Day: 99 Cent Ski Day @ the Skiway. Dartmouth ID required. Go enjoy your day off!
Buses will be leaving campus from in front of the Hop at 9 am, 10 am, 11 am, 12 pm, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm
Buses will return to campus at 9:30, 10:30, 11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30, 3:30, and 4:30
9 am: Women’s Giant Slalom, 1st run start @ the Skiway
10 am: Men’s 10km Freestyle Nordic Ski Race @ Oak Hill
10 am-12:30 pm: Polar Bear Swim @ Occom Pond. Do something you’ll never forget and let the tradition live on! Brrrrr-ing a swimsuit, towel, and warm clothes! Come early to get your spot in line!
10 am-1 pm: Hot Chocolate and Cookies @ the Roth Center. Warm up after taking the Plunge!
10:15 am: Men’s Giant Slalom, 1st run start @ the Skiway
11:30 am: Women’s 5km Freestyle Nordic Ski Race @ Oak Hill
12 pm: Men’s and Women’s Squash vs. Yale @ Berry Squash Exhibition
12:30 pm: Women’s Giant Slalom, 2nd run start @ the Skiway
1 pm-4 pm: Big Green Bus Tours @ Blunt Alumni Center. Open to the public!
2 pm-3 pm: The Subtleties’ Winter Carnival Showcase @ Collis Patio
2:30 pm: Men’s Giant Slalom, 2nd run start @ the Skiway
3:30 pm-5 pm: Hot chocolate and Cider with the Green Key Society @ Collis Patio
4 pm: Men’s and Women’s Squash vs. Middlebury @ Berry Squash Exhibition
6 pm-8 pm: Where the Filed Things Are: History and Tradition Reception @ Rauner Special Collections Library.
7 pm: Men’s Ice Hockey vs. Union @ Thompson Arena Rink
7 pm: Women’s Basketball vs. Princeton @ Berry Leede Arena
8 pm-11 pm: Carnival Ball @ Alumni Hall, Top of the Hop. Dance the night away in Candyland! Featuring a live band and open bar (21+). Semi-formal attire recommended. Tickets can be purchased at the Collis Info desk, 12 pm - 8 pm Wednesday and Thursday
9:30 pm-12:45 am: Candy Dance Party @ One Wheelock. Sponsored by Collis Governing Board and Alpha Phi Alpha. Featuring DJ Chop Chop and open bar (21+, with ID).
10 pm: Una Aventura @ LALACS House. Party with La Alianza Latina and DJ Xavi!
10:30 pm-1 am: The Icebreaker @ Collis Common Ground. Music, dance, and food! Celebrate Dartmouth traditions and help create new ones! Sponsored by the Collis Center.
