? "Even when our backs are touching the bottoms of coffins, the fierce artistry of black survival will always exceed the boundaries of death."
Hashi Khalil Pipkin

This week is a national week of action against state sanctioned violence sponsored by#BlackLivesMatter. Wednesday October 22nd is the national day of solidarity against police brutality and terror.

Please Join us this Wednesday night as we celebrate black life in all of its complexity and as we dance and sing in the same space as we mourn and grieve.

The event title 'Some of Us Did Not Die' comes from a collection of essays of the same name by June Jordan who was a"prolific, and passionate voice for liberation."

This, is a small attempt to get free. To imagine ourselves whole. To name power. And to make love in the face of all seeks to annihilate us.

Come as you are. Share what you will. Grieve. Dance. Be.

#BlackLivesMatter #EndWhiteSupremacy #EndStateSanctionedViolence
