Come find out why 46 states have already adopted these standards and learn more about why the other 4 states haven't

Students for Education Reform (SFER) is hosting

Donuts & Discussion!

Topic: Common Core

Thursday, April 10, at 4:15pm* in Collis 212

*you know you're going to need a donut after your 2A

The Common Core State Standards aim to raise student achievement by standardizing what's taught in schools across the United States, but have sparked controversy among educators, parents and politicians. Are the standards "one-size-fits-all?" What makes the Common Core State Standards different than No Child Left Behind? Where did the standards come from? Are they working?

Donuts & Discussion is a great program that facilitates informal productive dialogue. The purpose of Donuts and Discussion is to listen and learn from each other. It is not about solving a problem or deciding who is right.

Blitz back SFER [log in to unmask] with any questions!

Let's start talking!
