for the fully-produced student production of Ntozake Shange's



For Colored Girls Who have Considered Suicide/

When the Rainbow is Enuf



This production is an honors project by Carene Mekertichyan '16

Performances will be in the Bentley Theater May 13-15



Auditions: Wednesday* and Thursday eves, March 30 & 31

Callbacks: Friday, April 1



*Wednesday night auditions will be combined with auditions for

 an honors project by Robert Leverett '16:

Cotton Patch Gospel, book by Tom Key and Russell Treyz; music and lyrics by Harry Chapin.

Cotton Patch Gospel will be performed in the Bentley May 27-29.

There are six available roles in this production for self-identified women of color;

the role of Lady in Red is already cast.



NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY ~ ALL ARE ENCOURAGED TO AUDITION!!!

Scripts are now available for 24 hours sign-out in the Paddock Music Library



THE AUDITION PROCESS

All auditions will be held in the Bentley Theater.

Auditions will consist of reading from the script and singing acapella (unacompanied) 32 bars of a song of your choice.

You will not be asked to move or dance at this audition.

Be sure to sign up for a time slot on the sign-up sheet that will be posted in Shakespeare Alley (in the Hopkins Center) on the first day of classes.



Please arrive early to fill out an audition form!

There will be a guest director for this production:  Deena Selenow.
