Today the group educates students about sustainability on campus and tackles everyday sustainability challenges at Dartmouth, from reducing plastic use to encouraging energy efficiency. Kerri-Ann Jones, former Assistant Secretary of State for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs. Negotiating for the Planet: How Are We Doing on Environmental and Climate Issues? The daily news seems filled with doomsday stories about the environment and climate change. The gridlock in Washington seems to prevent any progress toward meaningful policy. But what is the full story? Are we heading in the right direction?

ENVS STUDENT GOBABEB RESEARCH PRESENTATION, 4:00-5:00 pm, 111 Wilder

Please join the students who have just returned from the Africa FSP to learn about the research projects they conducted while at Gobabeb Research and Training Center in the Namib-Naukluft Park, Namibia. Four teams conducted research projects ranging from !Nara pollination studies to community mapping projects of !Nara. Teams will share their study designs and results and talk about their experiences conducting these week-long intensive, community-engaged research projects.



DARTMOUTH ANIMAL WELFARE GROUP (DAWG), 7:30 pm, Collis 218

The Dartmouth Animal Welfare Group raises awareness about issues of animal ethics on campus, increases students' interactions with animals, and supports national movements that also promote animal welfare. The group focuses on animal welfare in the food industry, product testing, and scientific testing. DAWG also works to connect students to animals through volunteer opportunities at local shelters as well as pet-sitting opportunities within the Hanover area.

When you register, you'll be invited to upload a copy of your resume to share with employers in the event's official online resume book. As in the past, the Office of Sustainability, the Environmental Studies Program, The Center for Professional Development and Thayer School Careers Services will be collaborating to help you prepare for- and travel to- the fair.

Ecovores first dinner will be this Thursday at 6:30 at the Sustainable Living Center! EcoVores is a group focused on preparing, sharing, and exploring sustainable food at Dartmouth and beyond.
