Interested in the practice of mindfulness, meditation, or just looking to relax?

Come learn about the growing movement of mindfulness, and experience meditation with us.

This week, Prof. Terry Osborne, a long time meditator who has introduced mindfulness/meditation to many students (including me), will be leading a guided meditation and answering questions! Today, he will talk about creating space in your life.

 Wednesday, May 14th, 4:30 PM
Meditation Room - Fairbanks
(Enter the side door next to Tucker and follow the signs down)

We are the Dartmouth Student Mindfulness Group and we meet twice a week in a very informal setting to practice and discuss meditation. We lead guided breathing meditation, eating meditation, walking meditation, and body scans.

"Even in small doses, mindfulness can effect impressive changes in how we feel and think - and it does so at a basic neural level." - http://www.nytimes.com/2012/12/16/opinion/sunday/the-power-of-concentration.html?pagewanted=all The Power of Concentration - New York Times

Mindfulness at its core is about living in the present moment. It is a practice that has gained mass popularity in recent times and has received growing media coverage. Mindfulness has demonstrated proven clinical benefits and has allowed students to live life with less stress.
