Hi all you RAKstars,

As some of you may have heard, Anya, one of the DDS workers who covers late night, has recently been going through a very difficult time as she suffered the loss of one of her sisters in Ukraine following a battle with cancer.

Unfortunately, Ukraine does not have a developed health insurance system like the US, so almost all of Anya's sister's treatment was covered with Anya's savings. This has left Anya with virtually no financial means to travel back to Ukraine to be with her family in this time of grieving. Psi U is trying to raise money ($3000) to send her home all expenses paid. Dartmouth RAK would like to help with this effort by spreading the word and encouraging campus to donate what they can.

Anya has been one of the most caring people who works at the College. If you have a test one day and are looking stressed, she will talk to you about it, crack a joke, and help you push on. She is awesome, and it is a really horrible predicament for her to be in.

While many of you may not know her, we urge you all to donate whatever you can to a GoFundMe (https://www.gofundme.com/c7s6x7tb). All money raised will go towards paying for Anya's trip home. Thanks in advance for your support!

Hugs and help for Anya,

RAK
