Interested in supporting the Dartmouth community as a Peer Adviser? Apply to participate in DAPA, EDPA, SAPA, or Sexpert Training through the Office of Student Health Promotion and Wellness!  Peer Advisers are trained in specific topic areas (Drugs & Alcohol, Eating Disorders, Sexual Assault, Sexual Health) and strive to provide support, information, and options to other students in a nonjudgmental, holistic, self-reflective, and asset-based way.

Early Decision Applications are due by March 16, 2013 and all completed applications are due no later than March 26, 2013. Applications can be found here: http://www.dartmouth.edu/~healthed/groups/  Submission instructions are included on the applications.

·         Drug and Alcohol Peer Advisors (DAPAs) are a group of undergraduate students who have been trained to respond to questions about alcohol and other drug use and abuse at Dartmouth. DAPA Training for Spring '13 will be held during 2A class period
·         Eating Disorder Peer Advisors (EDPAs) serve as a campus resource to those students with concerns about themselves or friends regarding eating disorders, disordered eating/exercise, or nutrition. EDPA Training for Spring '13 will be held during 10A class period.
·         Sexual Abuse Peer Advisors (SAPAs) work with survivors of abuse (either recently or in the past), or secondary survivors (UGAs, friends, family, or partners) to provide support, referrals, and advocacy.  SAPA Training for Spring '13 will be held during 10A class period.
·         Sexperts serve as campus educational peer advisors and programmers who coordinate campus-wide education and respond to requests for peer education around issues of healthy sexuality, relationships, pleasure-based sexuality, STIs and contraception. Sexpert Training for Spring 13’ will be held during 2A class period.
