Interested in passing on all your knowledge about the SATs and college admissions to the next generation? Want some real experience in a classroom setting? Considering a career in education or working with youth?

Volunteer to be an SAT Coach with Let's Get Ready!

Quick Facts:

What?: Coaching SAT and College prep to motivated high school students in under-resourced areas

Where?: Mascoma High School (transportation provided)

When?: LGR will host 3 prep sessions at Mascoma this term, and coaches must attend a minimum of 1 session. All coaches must attend a mandatory coach training on February 3rd, time TBD. This is a low time commitment with a fairly flexible schedule!

Want to get involved? Stop by the LGR info session TODAY, Monday, 1/25/16, 4:30 pm in the South Fairbanks Hall living room (white building behind FoCo and Mass Row)!

Let's Get Ready<http://www.letsgetready.org/> is a national non-profit organization that provides free SAT and College Prep for high school students who otherwise would not be able to afford it. With the mission of "Students helping students to get to college," Let's Get Ready pairs college student "coaches" (volunteers) with classes of 3-6 driven students from under-resourced schools. As a coach, you will teach one section of the SAT to a small group of students one night a week. There is a teaching manual off of which to base your lessons, but you're also welcome to create your own lessons if you prefer. It's fun, rewarding, and it looks great on a resume!
