4) Summer Enrichment at Dartmouth (SEAD) Applications











Are you a junior or senior Interested in education?



Want to make a difference in the lives of youth?



Want a transformative summer job?







The Summer Enrichment at Dartmouth (SEAD) program has openings for **PAID** summer staff positions for the month of July on campus! As a summer staff member you would live in the dorms with the students, attend classes with students, and support our SEAD scholars (high school juniors) overall with academics, community building, and college preparedness.



SEAD empowers promising high school students from under-resourced backgrounds to thrive in high school and college and provides Dartmouth College students with transformative service and leadership opportunities. If you want to spend your summer gaining hands-on experience working with youth, working on creating access to higher education while being on campus, this position is for you! 5) Tucker Fellowships 15X Applications due April 22nd

The Tucker Fellowship Program gives committed Dartmouth undergraduate students an opportunity to invest in their personal growth and liberal education by serving others in need outside the United States. Fellows develop an 8-10 week full-time project with an NGO based on a social issue they are passionate about. Past Tucker Fellows have volunteered teaching in urban schools, working with homeless shelters, staffing refugee centers, providing legal aid, serving medical projects abroad and working with physically or emotionally challenged children. 6) DCPS Fellowship Applications due April 22nd

The Dartmouth Partners in Community Service (DPCS) mission is to inspire Dartmouth students to join with Dartmouth alumni and their families in addressing problems facing our society. The DPCS program allows Dartmouth students to invest in their civic growth, personal growth and liberal education by participation in full-time, leave-term community service internships.  Interns are matched with Dartmouth alumni, who serve as mentors for the interns.

7) Hiring for two AmeriCorps*VISTA Positions

The Tucker Foundation is hiring for two AmeriCorps*VISTA positions for the 2015-2016 academic year!



(1)  Literacy and Mentoring Coordinator

The Local Service AmeriCorps*VISTA will assist Tucker staff in improving and supporting the center’s literacy education and mentoring outreach. The VISTA will directly redesign the training curriculum for the America Reads K-3 literacy tutoring program. Additionally, the VISTA will develop and execute a plan to expand an outdoor mentoring and leadership development program for middle school students.  Finally, the VISTA will develop a college-positive training for Tucker volunteers and assist with overall volunteer recruitment efforts. (2)  College Pathways Coordinator

The Summer Enrichment at Dartmouth (SEAD) program empowers promising high school students from under-resourced backgrounds to thrive in high school and college.  The SEAD AmeriCorps*VISTA will directly advise and support SEAD alumni in college and coach current SEAD students (high school seniors) through the college application process. The VISTA will continue to develop and assess a comprehensive and multi-year “College Knowledge” curriculum to ensure students’ college readiness and persistence.
