Michael graduated from Dartmouth with a CS degree, Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude, in 1998. He is co-founder and President of Fog Creek Software, which he started in 2000 with friend and former colleague Joel Spolsky to build project management tools for developers. The initial Trello product was developed in 2010 and the team spun it out of Fog Creek as an independent company in 2014, with Michael as CEO and $10m in venture funding. In between, he also co-founded Stack Exchange, and was its CFO for a time. He is still on its board. After growing Trello to more than 17 million users, Michael guided the company through its $425m acquisition by Atlassian in January, where he is now head of product for Trello.
