The April 30 Mink Brook bird walk, sponsored by the Hanover Conservation
Council, produced 38 species.  Highlights included a pair of Blue-winged
Teal and some Solitary Sandpipers feeding on the exposed mud flats at Mink
Brook.  Other notables were Hooded Merganser, Broad-winged Hawk, Belted
Kingfisher, Brown Creeper foraging, Swamp Sparrow in the marsh, and a
hunting Red Fox.  Full bird list is included.

Canada Goose, Mallard, Blue-winged Teal, Wood Duck, Hooded Merganser,
Solitary Sandpiper, Broad-winged Hawk, Mourning Dove, Belted Kingfisher,
Northern Flicker, Hairy Woodpecker, Downy Woodpecker, Eastern Phoebe,
American Crow, Blue Jay, Tufted Titmouse, Black-capped Chickadee,
White-breasted Nuthatch, Red-breasted Nuthatch, Brown Creeper, House Wren,
Winter Wren, Ruby-crowned Kinglet, Gray Catbird, American Robin,
Black-and-white Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, Pine Warbler, Common
Yellowthroat, Ovenbird, Red-winged Blackbird, Common Grackle, Northern
Cardinal, Purple Finch, American Goldfinch, Chipping Sparrow, Swamp Sparrow,
Song Sparrow
