Dear David,
Here at Japanese School at Middlebury College, I have been using an internet
-based Karaoke provider called "karaoke@dam" They are one of the major
karaoke content providers in Japan.
http://www.clubdam.com/karadam
Our set-up requires a computer with internet, mixer, microphones, amplifier,
speakers and TV/projector. No special hardware needs to be purchased.
Their subscription fee is $8 a month and you can get in and out freely.
A nice thing about this way is that new songs are constantly being added and
the entire selection is over 20,000 songs.
I think it is worth considering this type of option instead of purchasing
stand-alone karaoke machine.
Sincerely,
Kazumi Hatasa
