Of course it will. :-|

This is rather meaningless, without any context. 'thisImage' could be
anything...it matters.

(String, alias, file...different versions of FM accept different kinds of
references.)

Sorry, Chuck, that you had an ordeal, but I assure you, it's quite common
and quite easy. One line to set a container field to an image (or other
file.)

Who knows.

I use image containers too, sometimes. (Especially in my contacts db, where
I want to select a 'Home', 'Work' etc. and have a different icon display
depending on that value. Again, quite common.

Every version I've ever used. Or, rather, let's say, without hesitation,
that includes version 4 to version 7 (8 is no different in this regard, I
assure you.) And, I would probably bet that this included FM version 2.x,
which I do believe I have on a floppy disk.

And, I would have to add that there was a ".gif" caveat at some point, FM
version 4 and 5, maybe? The whole "I own gif" legal issue was probably the
culprit, but as I recall, container fields would not accept a GIF...you had
to PICT it first.

Anyway, I think you had a bad run. It happens.

I provided some samples yesterday, so you can go get them if you want. One
for FMv5-6 and one for FM7-only.
