'thisImage' could be anything...it matters. (String, alias, file...different versions of FM accept different kinds of references.) > That is as I recall this messy affair; Sorry, Chuck, that you had an ordeal, but I assure you, it's quite common and quite easy. I use image containers too, sometimes. (Especially in my contacts db, where I want to select a 'Home', 'Work' etc. and have a different icon display depending on that value. Again, quite common. > Which version of FMP did you find you could insert images into > fields? I stopped investing in FMP with v6. Every version I've ever used. Or, rather, let's say, without hesitation, that includes version 4 to version 7 (8 is no different in this regard, I assure you.) And, I would probably bet that this included FM version 2.x, which I do believe I have on a floppy disk. And, I would have to add that there was a ".gif" caveat at some point, FM version 4 and 5, maybe? The whole "I own gif" legal issue was probably the culprit, but as I recall, container fields would not accept a GIF...you had to PICT it first. Anyway, I think you had a bad run. It happens. I provided some samples yesterday, so you can go get them if you want. One for FMv5-6 and one for FM7-only. -- Gary
