I've duplicated tapes, but only with the publisher's written permission.
Some publishers, such as Heinle, have duplication request forms online. If I
don't get the permission, I don't duplicate. If I do get permission it's
always with the restriction that the duplicated tapes are for use in the lab
only. Students have to buy them from the publisher if they want them.

Recently, I was asked a question about copying cassette tapes for students
who could not make it to the Media Center. In the text, Puntos De Partida,
it states:
Cassette tapes are free to adopting institutions and are also available for
student purchase upon request.
So, does this mean that I can copy the tapes? As a new lab director, I
would appreciate any assistance. Thanks, John Esposito.
