Family trip to Cape Cod, near Hyannis over the weekend.  got in some
birding.  I walk on a barrier beach near where we stay.

 

Highlights: 

1 Am. Oystercatcher

6 Willets

20 Semi-palm. Sandpipers

6 Least Terns

4 adult Piping Plovers.  Regularly do their "broken wing" display/
distraction. Sweet birds !  Monitored by MA Audubon.

2 Saltmarsh Sharp-tailed Sparrows.

 

Pine and Blackburnian Warblers singing in the yard, a first.

 

Lots of Osprey.

 

Some left over Co. Eiders and some distant Scoters, maybe black.

So fun to see shorebirds !!
