The Rough-legged Hawk was still in the vicinity of Stevens Road at 4:25.
It was sitting atop a deciduous tree about 200 yards south of Stevens Road
at the back of the pasture. I had found it about 20 minutes earlier
perched in some small aspens at the western edge of the cornfield on the
left as you go up Stevens Road into Thetford perpendicular to the big barn
with the rock pigeons roosting on the roof. The pigeons were temporarily
displaced by a peregrine as I was watching the rough-legged, which is a
beautiful bird.

Thanks to Sara and George for their alerts.

Scott
