After the intense flooding last year in Vermont, some peculiar chemicals
spilled into the river, producing giant, seemingly harmless
pussy-willow-like plants. This ring-necked duck fled in terror. It is not
known how the EPA will attempt to control this new menace, resembling it's
namesake of the feline persuasion, but humans may well be equally at risk
should they attempt to harvest these carnivorous plants from their
neighbor's yards.
