Had another opportunity to get to NJ for the Thanksgiving holiday. Spent time banding hawks and walking the beaches and birding the south cape may meadows.

We caught: All immature birds
1 Redshoulder
3 Redtails (1 retrapped)
1 Merlin
1 Northern Harrier
2 Coops
1 Goshawk (large female)
1 peregrine (yesterday, also a large female)

Bald eagles are in courtship in southern NJ and we watched to bald eagles lock talons and cartwheel into the forest, who knows what happened after that. It was just like watching it on "Nature". we saw this twice... pretty cool!
