Had an interesting day- Kyle K. Mentioned viewing the Red Crossbills at
Dewey's Mills (originally reported by George Clark and Ed Hack). Managed to
get 1 very obscure picture of a juvenile, and 1 almost decent pic of a
female here:

Also saw FOY Black and White Warbler as Kyle mentioned.
At the Wilder Dam Boat Ramp, got some nice close views of the single Horned
Grebe here:

There were also 2 Brown Thrashers singing everyone else's songs!
There were 2 Great Blue Herons at the Beaver Pond/ wetlands on Tigertown
Rd. in Norwich- nesting in the same pine tree as last year. One sitting on
the nest. If you visit, please consider that they spook very easily-don't
want to see them disturbed at this critical time.
There were 10 Cedar Waxwings at the Norwich P.O., a Kestrel and more
Waxwings on Bragg hill.
At home we have had Blue-headed Vireo, Barred Owl, Winter Wren and
White-throated Sparrows most recently. Evening Grosbeaks are still present
and noisy.
Yay May Day.
