The Mascoma Chapter of New Hampshire Audubon has organized a birding
trip to be led by George Clark along the Connecticut River on Saturday
October 8, 2011. Participants are to meet to carpool and form a
caravan at 8:00 AM in the parking lot of the Dartmouth Printing
Company (69 Lyme Road [= Route 10]), which is located adjacent to the
Richmond School in Hanover, NH. This birding trip of about two hours
is to head north with a stop at Wilson's Landing and then onto scenic
River Road in Hanover and, if time allows, into Lyme. All kinds of
birds will be sought, but migrating sparrows will be of special
interest. This program is free and open to the public. Children
accompanied by an adult are welcome. Walking will be on fairly level
ground for distances up to a half mile. Bring binoculars and scopes if
available. In the event of steady rain, this trip will be canceled.
