Seven participants enjoyed this morning's Windsor County 2013 Birding
Quest field trip in Norwich, VT, under mostly cloudy skies with
temperature near the freezing point and relatively light winds early
in the day. Among the highlights were 4 Canada Geese, a few American
Black Ducks, well over 100 Mallards, 3 Common Goldeneyes, both Hooded
and Common Mergansers, a Cooper's Hawk, good views of a Brown Creeper,
an American Robin and a flock of more than 75 Cedar Waxwings along
Kendall Station Road, and a Red-winged Blackbird and 3 Brown-headed
Cowbirds at Farrell Farm.

George Clark
Norwich, VT
