The past week's rains made for high water today in the swollen Ottauquechee
and Connecticut rivers, but the junction had >80 Mallards and 11 American
Black Ducks. In the area was also a loose ground-feeding flock that
contained at least 6 American Robins, 15 Red-winged Blackbirds, and 3
Common Grackles.

I was surprised NOT to see a Turkey Vulture anywhere, but 3 Red-tailed
Hawks soaring northward over Connecticut River Road in WRJ seemed clearly
to be on the move.
